How many screenshots can I upload?

At least one and up to 10 per device size, per language. The first three are the most important, because they show in search results before anyone opens your page.

What format do screenshots need?

.png, .jpg, or .jpeg, with no alpha channel or transparency. A PNG exported with transparency is the most common rejection. Flatten it onto a background first.

Do I need screenshots for every size?

No. If your interface is the same across sizes, Apple says you only need the highest required resolution, and App Store Connect scales it down for smaller devices. Add other sizes only when the layout differs, for example on iPad.

Should screenshots match my app preview?

Yes. The preview shows first on the product page, followed by the screenshots, so they should tell the same story in the same order and style. Apple's App Previews page explains how previews sit alongside screenshots, and our app preview requirements post lists the video rules.

How do I make screenshots that look professional?

Put the raw screenshot in a device frame, add a short headline, and use one consistent background across the set. The free App Mockup Generator frames a screenshot in an iPhone and exports a PNG or JPG. More tips in how to make app screenshots look professional.

Are screenshot sizes the same as preview video sizes?

No. Preview videos use smaller accepted sizes, such as 886×1920 for iPhone. See app preview video size, and use the App Store Preview Maker to export them. Apple's asset guide explains how screenshots and previews are uploaded together.
